Industry Collaboration and Development
VNET leverages its technological advantages to play a proactive role in setting industry standards and driving technological upgrades. In 2024, we actively participated in the White Paper on the Industrial Development of China's Intelligent Computing Centers (2024), led by the China Communications Industry Association Data Center Committee (CIDC), contributing to the high-quality development of the intelligent computing industry.
The Group actively participates in industry communication, sharing experiences and exchanging insights with peers, promoting mutual knowledge and ideas exchange. It jointly explores the future development opportunities and potential values of data centers with business partners and all sectors of society. Together with institutions such as Caixin Think Tank and ESG30, VNET has initiated the "Human-Centered Intelligence Initiative" to promote responsible technological development and the popularization of intelligent technology applications.
Social Responsibility
With a steadfast commitment to social responsibility, VNET continuously engages in key areas such as industry-university research integration, community public welfare, and rural revitalization, demonstrating our corporate mission and responsibility.
Promoting Industry-University Research Integration
VNET actively involves in science and technology education, continuously promoting the deep integration of industry, academia, and research through school-enterprise cooperation and public donations. This provides abundant scientific research resources and practical opportunities for cultivating high-quality innovative talents for society and promotes the process of social technological innovation and industrial transformation and upgrading. In 2024, we actively supported Tsinghua University and Soochow University in promoting power-computing synergy, technology, and intelligence. The total amount of educational donations was RMB5.5 million.
Supporting Community Public Welfare
In March 2024, VNET hosted a charity sale event, allocating 30% of the proceeds to the Beijing Tianyun Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation Training Center. This contribution directly supported critical rehabilitation therapy for children with developmental challenges, including hearing impairments, autism, and Down syndrome, empowering them to achieve greater social integration and maintain optimism for the future.
In April 2024, VNET Group demonstrated its sustainability commitment through a tree-planting initiative, with more than 70 employees from VNET and 21Vianet Blue Cloud volunteering 350 hours to establish the "VNET & 21Vianet Blue Cloud 2024 Conservation Forest" in Beijing's Yanqing District.
Boosting Rural Revitalization
In 2024, we carried out agricultural support activities in Xituo Village, Miyun District, Beijing and Ulanqab, effectively promoting local rural economic development. Employees enthusiastically purchased local specialty agricultural products such as sesame oil and millet, expanding sales channels for local agricultural products.
